CONNECT WITH THE STAFF & THEIR DEPARTMENTS
Mr. & Mrs. Hagans
Pastor and First Lady
My wife and I come from a small-town called Hazard KY. It is where we saw community. A community helps each other, prays for each other, and leaves judgment out of the picture. This is the definition of Ministry. We want to love people, by doing what Jesus did. Our prayer is that you experience this about Community Life Ministry. We hope that you will benefit from the Ministry and that God blesses you richly.
As a visionary, I am blessed that my wife shares my passion for having a servant leadership heart. My wife Alice of 33 years and I, have dreamed of changing the view of the Church. Our heart is to see the church add to its wonderful worship services, too Ministering to the community in a caring unjudgmental ministry. We have two beautiful daughters and two amazing grandsons. We are honored and blessed to have my mother to live with us and share her wisdom and knowledge .
Phyllis has always had a singing heart for the Lord. She came to CLM in 2015 and blessed us with her God-given talent of singing and ministering. She is also an elder on the CLM Elder Board which includes both the Lead Pastor Darriel and Education Pastor Tony.
She is a recording artist who proclaims that "Jesus Lives."
She leads weekly the worship service at CLM but enjoys spending her free time making jewelry.
Minister Mechell Knight
Mechell will lead the Benevolent team, serve hurting people heal through their time of need, to see CLM engage in effective outreach and grow numerically as they consistently offer Grief care, Divorce Care, Single & Parenting, and Divorce Care for Kids to their communities.
Minister Mechell has shown that she is assertive and outgoing and passion for people. She loves to help people get involved to do God’s call on their lives, by serving on the Benevolent Team and other areas of Church ministry life.
Children's Ministry Director
Alexandria has always had a passion for children. She began working with children at a young age by volunteering in the nursery ministry at a church in Dayton Ohio. Her resume grew from there and she became a nursery team leader, children’s choir director, and has led many children’s church services. She has experience working in large groups (roughly 50 youth) and has worked with a range of children between the ages of 4-18.
Alex plans to use CLM’s mission “Proclaim, Connect, Restore, Serve” to attract children to God using innovate ways that make sense to a crowd younger than 18.
The Kitchen Ministry’s purpose is to create meals and use food as a connection between believers and non-believers. Many people fellowship and interact over a good meal, we make it our goal to encourage long lasting memories that started over a delicious meal. A good meal can change an atmosphere, and we strive to ensure CLM members and guests are provided an opportunity to fellowship with each other as often as possible. Our main goal is to serve the Community.
I answered the call of Christ in 1995 and joined a local ministry where I received instructions and teachings on the things of God. I joined CLM as a church plant where I serve as the Education Pastor.
Education Department’s Purpose:
The Education Department serves to make sure that believers are equipped to defend the faith, and to give believers assigned to this ministry the knowledge to be able to live out Gods purpose for their lives. Our Education Department has a passion to Proclaim, Connect, Restore and Serve those that are called by God to go back into the community and share what God has brought them out of, and proclaim what God has done in their lives.
Wears many hats!
Joseph Lee joined CLM in 2014 and wears many hats in our church. He has a bachelor's degree in Organizational Leadership. He spends his time at CLM ensuring each department has a clear idea of what is expected of them.
He is the liaison between the Pastor and the other staff members. He doubles as CLMS drummer. He is also the husband of our Children's Ministry Leader and enjoys spending his free time learning new instruments and spending time with his Son Jr.
Sue has lived in Jacksonville for 30 years. She connected with Community Life Ministry in 2015 and we are so grateful to have her.
She enjoys teaching the word of God, but specifically, God has called her to CLM as one of the Church’s prayer warriors. She uses her gift to lead the congregation in developing intercessory praying.
Guest Services Director
The Guest Services Department team will lovingly and energetically welcome everyone, and make ourselves available for questions, concerns, ideas, and requests. We strive to set the stage for people to be open to life change. We desire to have a great first impression, and to create an inviting environment so that guests can decide in the first few minutes, if they will return, even before the music or service begins.
We would like our guest to remember what it was like, walking into CLM for the first time. We want to eliminate awkwardness and love everyone just as they are.
